Wow! Just wow! Let me explain-

What?? Another savory post? and it's not even bakery. I know- but this was so amazing I had to share.
I've always wanted to make a cassoulet. I even have a recipe from an old Gourmet magazine that calls for lamb shank, duck, sausage and bacon. Oh, well, shoulda made it before going vegan, huh?
But no- Robin to the rescue! No not the boy wonder Robin. I'm talking about Robin Robertson who wrote 1,000 Vegan Recipes.  I was lucky enough to be a recipe tester for the book and I knew there was some good stuff in there. But then the other day this recipe caught my eye:  Three Bean Cassoulet.

This was so simple to put together- but is easily one of the best things I've ever eaten. Ever. Seriously. You can't even imagine.
When it was almost done, I checked it and was disappointed by the way it looked. Just a bunch of beans with some red liquid. But after the breadcrumbs went on top and baked a little more- magic happened!

The pics aren't the best, but trust me- delish!

Savory Baking ~ "Chickn" Pot Pie

Not that I get tired of the sweet stuff- but sometimes warm + delicious = savory!

I took a few recipes I read online and kept what I liked from each- and the result was divine.

Here is the filling- Gardein scallopini, onions, potato, and mixed veggies.

And just out of the oven

Just look at that warm goodness inside-

I will be making this again real soon.
